4 Things you can learn from the Soup Nazi

1. You have to have a terrific product to get a line forming outside your store. Having a product that people will flock to should be your #1 priority. Products that are scarce should not use the same business model as common products. If your product is just average, being “Doris Day” is not going to create demand.

2. You should tell you clients how to be Efficient in receiving your best services and products. If they hold up the line they are hurting the quality of the product. Don’t let them do it.

3. Not everyone gets free bread. Often times giving out a free service (like on the internet) devalues your product. Reserve the right to stop giving out freebies.

4. It’s OK to say no to customers “no soup for you”. If fact, it a good idea to tell them this early in the process. It is important to note, that the Soup Nazi did let customers come back if they learned how to be good customers.
